My name is Jenna. I co-founded Hoosier Athletic Club/Hoosier CrossFit in Indiana where I coached functional strength & conditioning since 2009. I currently reside in Whitefish, Montana and the Owner of Last Best Strength & Conditioning, specializing programming custom workout plans for remote clients and locally providing personal and semi-private group training.
Working with me is a commitment to health, not just getting stronger and leaner. To translate, it's really easy to find a reason to skip your workout: too tired, too sore, had a bad day, or you've developed pain and can't give your all to the workout - worse, you think it's unhealthy and a bad idea to workout. But when you skip, it's more likely you'll choose bad foods, drink more alcohol, your muscles stiffen more, and pain doesn't go away from couching it. Movement IS medicine, and your session can be adapted to new developments - on the spot. I can adapt your workouts depending on the kind of day you had, the type of encouragement you need, & work with chronic and acute experiences when it comes to pain with movements that derive from yoga, physical therapy, & traditional strength training.
Over 8-12 weeks you'll feel fitter, stronger, & more confident in your abilities because you were brave to show up to every session you committed to, but more importantly, you'll have readiness for the unknown & unknowable adventures in life.
I graduated from college 30lbs heavier than when I started. In this picture, I had lost all that weight with just 6 months of functional strength & conditioning and following The Zone diet - it's the first time I did pullups in a workout, and also the first CrossFit Level 1 I attended back in 2009.
Over a decade ago, I became certified to teach the Clean & Jerk and Snatch in York, PA, home of York Barbell. Since then, I've renewed multiple times & continued learning various syles and training methods with Chad Vaughn, Glen Pendlay, Mike Burgener & Sage Burgener.

When writer, Douglas Chadwick, came to Montana for the first time many years ago, he boasted it as the "last best place." I can only imagine what he felt when experiencing the west for the first time; cities can feel fast and disconnected in so many ways. In the wilderness, time slows down and you start to recognize that the old way, may just be the better way. When I came out west on a personal journey, I started to correlate the same feeling when reflecting on the fitness industry today, buzzing with machine assistance, drawing you in with a colorful experience, and AI technology steps in as your personal trainer and comfortable in isolation. Are you thriving? Is it productive? Does it really care you showed up? Can it adjust for injuries & modifications? Perhaps.
At the end of the day, ask yourself what you want from exercise. If you want to be strong, lean, and conditioned to be independent out in life, to carry out tasks that force you to be able to lift heavy things, have stamina & endurance in an emergency, and maintain balance and flexibility that improves your quality of life....you're not going to want machines,
You're going to want the last, best place,
Last Best Strength and Conditioning.
